Mini Pizza Box with matching 3.5 x 3.5 card & envelope
The pattern for the Mini Pizza Box can be found in a tutorial at www.splitcoaststampers.com. I made a card and envelope to match. You can make a set of the cards and envelopes to place inside the Mini Pizza Box to give as a gift.

Mini Pizza Box

1. Remove the cutting blade from the Paper Trimmer and use Stylus in the cutting track to score the 6 x 11 Crystal Blue CS as follows: On the 6” side, score at 1” and 5”. On the 11” side, score at 1”, 5”, 6” and 10”.
2. Return the cutting blade to the Paper Trimmer (or use the Micro-Tip Scissors) to cut flaps 1” in along the score marks a the 11” side at 1”, 5”, 6” and 10”. Repeat on the other 11” side of CS.
3. Fold along all score lines and use Bone Folder for a sharp crease. Tip: if you don’t have a Bone Folder you can use a Pampered Chef Nylon Scraper if you have one in your kitchenJ
4. Punch a half circle in the center of on one end of the 6” edge of Crystal Blue CS (this will be for where you open the Mini Pizza Box - see picture).
5. Adhere flaps to inside of box to form Mini Pizza Box.
6. Attach 3.75 x 3.75 Black CS to top of Mini Pizza Box.
7. Randomly stamp one of the Playful Flourishes with Sweet Leaf ink on 3.5 x 3.5 White Daisy CS. Stamp sentiment from Joy Forever stamp set with Black ink near bottom edge of CS panel and attach to the Black CS on top of Mini Pizza Box.
8. Use extra White Daisy CS for stamping flower & leaves from Joy Forever stamp set using the 2nd Generation Rock & Roll technique featured on page 23 of the Summer 2009 Catalog. You will need 3 flowers and 3 leaves (2 of each for top of Mini Pizza Box and 1 of each for card). Here are the steps:
-Using the solid flower stamp image from Joy Forever and Hollyhock stamp pad, stamp image on scratch paper.
-Without cleaning the stamp, roll the edges of the flower stamp
in the Hollyhock stamp pad ink.
-Stamp the image on the extra White Daisy CS.
-Stamp the flower outline image with black ink over the solid flower image.
-Using one of the solid leaf images from Joy Forever, repeat the 2nd Generation Rock & Roll technique using Sweet Leaf ink.
-Stamp outline image of the leaf with Black ink over solid leaf image.
-Use Micro-Tip Scissors to cut out flowers and leaves.
9. Attach 2 flowers to top of Mini Pizza Box (above sentiment). I attached one flower and leaf with Mono Adhesive and the other flower and leaf with foam squares. You could probably fit 3 flowers and leaves to the top of the Mini Pizza Box if desired.
3.5 x 3.5 Card
1. Fold 3.5 x 7 Crystal Blue CS to form card base.
2. Attach 3.25 x 3.25 Black CS to center of card front.
3. Stamp image from Playful Flourishes on 3 x 3 White Daisy CS with Sweet Leaf ink and stamp sentiment from Joy Forever in Black near bottom of White Daisy CS panel. Attach panel to center of Black CS on card front.
4. Attach Joyful Forever flower and leaf to card front over sentiment.
Envelope
Cut envelope from 5.75 x 8.25 coordinating Background & Texture paper (B&T). I created my own template to accommodate a 3.5 x 3.5 card. There is a template for a 3x3 envelope on the template CD that comes with Wishes - you could enlarge this template to fit a 3.5 x 3.5 card. I will also scan a copy of my template and post it to My Art later. I used some retired B&T that I had on hand which was white on one side so I used the patterned side for the inside of the envelope and the white side for the outside of the envelope. I stamped part of the flower on the bottom corner of the envelope to match the card and then inked the edges of the envelope front with Sweet Leaf ink. You could also make the envelope from white copy paper - stamp one side with the flourishes to match the card - you could use that side for the interior of the envelope and then stamp the outside of the envelope with the flower as I did on my envelope.
Change out the CS, stamps and ink colors to make different themed Mini Pizza Boxes and card sets. |
